Naval Reconnaissance Unit
The Naval Reconnaissance Unit (NRU) is the Naval Infantry's Special Operations unit. Unlike the other units, much is known about the NRU. There are about 350,500 Marines currently operating in the NRU, and training lasts for 46 weeks. The purpose of the NRU is to scout the enemy's position, and if necessary, engage in direct combat. They use light armored vehicles for quick movement behind enemy lines.
Instead of the Naval Infantry's notorious black beret, the NRU uses a tan beret.
