Laiklandic Ground Forces
The Ground Forces are the primary land combat force of the Laiklandic Armed Forces.. It is the largest branch of service, with over 95,000,000 in it's ranks. The LGF's basic training lasts for 12 weeks, and after that, soldiers may go to specialty schools ranging anywhere from 2 weeks to 22 months. Around 9 million recruits pass through training each year at various training bases around the nation.
In 2012, there were a series of rules and regulations that were put in place to bring the Laiklandic Armed Forces up to modern standards of professionalism. There were multiple appearance changes as well, including the introduction of two new camouflage patterns to replace the many patterns that were used prior to the reforms; this was to help make the Ground Forces more centralized and uniform. The two patterns that were used were the German "Flecktarn" pattern, and the Russian "Digital Flora" patterns. In 2015, Digital Flora was phased out and only Flecktarn remained. Furthermore, in 2018, another uniform change was completed, this time phasing out the Flecktarn pattern for all but special forces units, and replacing it with digital arctic and woodland camouflages.
The Ground Forces have a limited fleet of aircraft, consisting mainly of cargo transport planes, and helicopters. It is the largest operator of tanks in the military, as the GF is heavily a highly mobile, mechanized force. Most infantry divisions are attached with armored divisions, and the two operate and train together with great interoperability. Out of the estimated 125,650 tanks in active service, the GF has about 86,500 of them.
