Carrier Operations Group
The Carrier Operations Group (COG) are one of the Special Operations units in the Military, as well as the Navy's first of two. Like the other special units, little is known about them. The Navy defines the purpose of the COG as being an Aircraft carrier-based strike group capable of rapid transport and tactical insertions. Estimates place their numbers around 25,000. Training lasts 80 weeks, and has a 75% dropout rate. The COG traces it's roots to 1992, when New Laikland was in dire need of Naval Infantry. In 1995, they were disbanded as the Naval Infantry were created, but were re-formed in 2005 as a Special Operations unit.
