Laiklandic Navy
There are over 60,000,000 sailors, Marines, and pilots in the Navy, making it the second largest branch of the Military, next to the Ground Forces. Navy Boot Camp lasts 9 weeks. After boot camp, the sailors report to their specialty school, and once graduated from those, they will be stationed either onboard a ship, or at a base.
The Navy maintains a large air corps, with over 3,500,000 pilots and support personnel. It is used as an international power projection force, as it frequently sends fleets around the globe. Under its command rests 72 nuclear powered super carriers, as well as 34 nuclear carriers between 40,000-90,000 tons in weight. Overall, the Navy has over 9,250 ships. Between 1991 and 2011, New Laikland refitted and upgraded the entire fleet from older Soviet ships. Today, all of those old ships are gone, and newer, more advanced Laiklandic-built ships make up the bulk of the fleet.
The Navy's main job during peacetime is to operate alongside the Maritime Guard in coastal patrol and maritime law enforcement duties.
