Economy of New Laikland
The original Laiklandic economy was based off a bartering system, which began to rapidly collapse as the population grew, and technological innovation took off, propelling New Laikland into a modern nation. A central currency system was introduced by the government in 2010, and by the time the 2013 economic reforms came around, New Laikland became fully integrated with modern economics.

Gross Domestic Product Per Capita:
$40,622.88

Agriculture
Agriculture plays a large part in the Laiklandic economy. Despite being the smallest economic sector, domestic agriculture still accounts for over 70% of New Laikland's food consumption. Most arable land is found in the southern provinces, where highly mechanized farms maximize crop yield. The use of pesticides is banned, and steroids are used conservatively. Genetically modified crops are widespread, and make up the bulk of the Laiklandic crop yield.
Resources
New Laikland produces enough oil to cover it's domestic consumption, and become a net exporter. The mining industry is also a large sector, taking advantage of New Laikland's ore-rich northern provinces which continue to go largely unexplored.
Manufacturing
The manufacturing industry is the largest part of the industrial sector. Mainly concentrated in the central, and eastern provinces, New Laikland produces all of it's motor vehicles, military equipment, construction equipment, and most household goods domestically. Large port cities line the east coast of the island, and railways stretch all over the nation to move goods in the most efficient ways possible.
