Airborne Forces
The Airborne Forces are an elite air assault infantry unit of the Ground Forces. They are the equivalent of the Air Force's Air Assault Unit. The AF are notorious for their blue berets, and strive for the best in everything they do. They are, in many cases, compared to the Naval Infantry for their brutality in combat as well as training. There are currently 6,000,000 men and women in the Airborne.
In order to become Airborne, a soldier must spend 4 years in the Ground Forces, and must have been born in New Laikland. The soldier can then apply, and has a 1/50,000 chance of being accepted into Airborne School. Once there, Airborne School lasts for 25 weeks, putting the Airborne recruits in top physical condition as well as completing nearly 30 jumps in that time period. Airborne School also requires shooting at 70% accuracy at 500m.
The Airborne Forces operate roughly 3,500 transport aircraft with it's own Pilot Corps. There are 93,250 pilots and logistics staff in the Air Corps.
